At Chifley Public School students have the opportunity to borrow a variety of books from the school library.  Students are encouraged to borrow books from the library regularly and to participate in the Premier's Reading Challenge. 

Information literacy is explicitly taught using the model recommended by the Department of Education.  The Information Process.
