Before and after school care

Young Men's Christian Association

Chifley Public School works in partnership with the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA)  to provide outside school hours care (OSHC) programs at the school. This includes before and after school care and holiday adventures care..We are working close within the Little Bay community and also include children attending Matraville Public school. We drop off and collect the children in our vehicle each day.

If you would like to know more about the YMCA please visit the YMCA website

The YMCA is delighted to be given the opportunity to work with the Chifley Public School community. They are currently working in partnership with a number of other schools throughout NSW, including Arncliffe and Marrickville public schools.

The YMCA is the nations leading provider of quality, safe, fun and professional OSHC. All of their programs meet national standards and quality assurance guidelines as set by the department of family and community services.

Each day, the children receive healthy snacks and participate in a range of fully supervised activities.

Breakfast served daily includes toast, muffins, crumpets, and a selection of cereals. Water, milk and milo are available for children to drink.

Afternoon tea served in the programs follows the national heart foundation guidelines. Cooking experiences the children engage in are offered as an accompaniment to the snack provided and water is the preferred drink.
