Chifley Public School has a thriving performing arts program which engages students within and beyond the classroom.

In 2016 the choir performed at various events such as Showcase at the Juniors, Barwon Park Christmas Carols and continuously throughout the year at school assemblies.
Dance
Chifley Public School dance group meets every Wednesday morning at 8:15am.
Dance develops the ability of students to communicate and express themselves through movement. Through dance, students develop awareness of the ways their body's move, the space in which they move, the time and quality of their movements and their relationship to each other and objects. Students at Chilfey participate in composing, moving and appreciating a range of dance styles. To further enhance the dance program at Chifley, each year one term of dance is run by a team of dance teachers who have an extensive background of education, performing, creative arts and television that collaborate to provide the latest and greatest dance programming.
Drama
Chifley Public School drama groups meets every Friday morning at 8:15am
Through drama you can become anyone, anywhere, at any time. Play often captures the essence of a culture or a group within that culture. It allows students opportunities to explore the way other people think, feel and communicate, helping us to understand others and ourselves.
At Chifley Public School students are given opportunities to discover drama through:
- Exploring imaginative play and dramatic situations
- Interpreting and conveying dramatic meaning by using the elements of drama and a range of movement and voice skills in a variety of drama forms
- Devising, acting and rehearsing drama for performance to an audience
- Responding critically to a range of drama works and performance styles.
Percussion group
Chifley Public School percussion group meets every Monday morning at 8:15am
There are many opportunities for students to experience the broader creative world that Performing Arts offers through excursions, incursions, and in class activities.
